Drake's Downfall Chapter Two - Part One

Chapter Two

Sunlight streamed through the window, Georgetta winced and pulled the covers over her eyes. Last night she’d had very little sleep. She’d tossed and turned, even cried at the realisation of the truth. Drake had used her, but luckily someone had had the foresight to warn her.

“Now miss, it’s a beautiful morning and your mama and papa are waiting in the dining room for you.”

Georgetta let out a heavy sigh. “I am not hungry Tilly. Tell them I do not wish to be disturbed.”

“What ails you Miss, are you unwell? Do I need to get Mr Simpson to call for the doctor?” A note of concern crept into Tilly’s voice.

Unwell, of course she was unwell. Had not her heart been torn into a thousand shreds? She felt utterly foolish at the folly into which Drake had led her. She would never be able to hold her head up high in polite society again.

“There is nothing wrong, I am not hungry and wish to be left alone, is all.” Georgetta tried her hardest not to sound impatient. She let out a squeak as the bed covers were pulled away from her. “Tilly!”

“It is not a day for you to be idle in bed Miss. If there is nowt’ wrong, then you can get up and meet your mama and papa.”

“Tilly, you are no longer my Nurse Maid, and have no right to treat me in the manner.” Georgetta tried to wrestle the cover from Tilly’s hands.

“Mayhap you are right on that Miss, but I would not stand for this behaviour when you were a child and I will not do so now, either. Now, come along. Time is a wasting.” Tilly made one final tug on the bed clothes and they fell to the floor.

“See what you have done? The covers are on the floor and I am getting cold. I should speak to father of your impropriety. ” Georgetta pouted.

“I am sure you should, but I am convinced that your father would agree with me. You n’er pouted and sulked as a child, and five and twenty years is not a time to start.”

Georgetta flounced out of bed and stalked to the bathing room. “Does no one have any regard for me or my feelings anymore?”

“Of course we do Miss, but not when you act like a child.”

Georgetta wanted to scream. Instead she balled her hands into fists, and shut the door to the bathing room. Tilly had, mayhap, been given too many leeway over the years, but she did not have the heart to correct her manner. For Tilly had been kind and gentle with Georgetta as a child.

She had been her rock, especially during the long nights when she had cried herself to sleep after her brothers’ untimely demise. Her behaviour may not be that of a normal servant and in a lot of circles would be frowned upon, but Georgetta would not have it any other way.

Steam rose from the tub and suddenly the idea of sinking into its warm depths held great appeal. She removed her night gown and stepped into the warm water. Through no control of her own, tears crept up on her and stung her eyes. Angrily, she batted them away.

Her own stupidity and Lord Winston’s unscrupulous behaviour played about her mind. Never had she been so gullible before. Other men had flattered her, had been prepared to marry her, but all for her fortune and title and not for herself.

She had been no fool in this regard, so how had Lord Winston breached her defences? Her body shivered, despite the warm temperature of the water. His face played about her mind. Dark brown hair touching his collar, too long to be fashionable, gave ere to his appeal. Brown eyes encased in long lashes, gave way to high sculptured check bones. A woman would maim to possess features such as this.

Full lips and a strong jaw completed a perfect picture of a man, though his perpetual scowl, did give an air of the untouchable about him. His body - muscled with not an ounce of fat. This much she had learnt from their embrace last eve. Heat pooled in her belly and her breathe quickened. She shook her head to remove the image of him.

No, she needed to forget Lord Winston and all of his overtures and resign herself to facts. She would not find a husband, within her own station. A husband would only be found to elevate his standing. Her title and money were the only things that made her desirable to any man.

Mayhap there was a chance a man of lower station and calling, would suit. Georgetta sighed, but her father would never allow her to marry beneath her station, unless… She heard the click of the latch and ceased her mindful meanderings.

“Come Miss, your father grows impatient for your company.” Tilly stood holding out her gown.

Georgetta did not hurry to get ready. She spent the same time as she did everyday, not that it helped any, for she had not been graced with either the beauty of her mother or the handsomeness of her brother. If it had not been for the fervent assurances that she was her parents’ child, she would think that she’d be someone else’s daughter. She replaced the brush on the dresser and made for downstairs and her father.

“Good morning, Father, Mother.” Georgetta said and sat down.

“Good morning my dear, I trust you slept well.” Her mother enquired, while reaching for another sausage.

“Very well thank you.” She lied, but it would not aid the dilemma in anyway by involving her parents in her current dealings.

“Did you have a good time at the ball?” Georgetta did not miss her mother’s look to her father. Something was afoot and it left her decidedly on edge.

“The ball was amiable. No more.” She poured everything she had into keeping her voice level and devoid of emotion.

“Ah, did not Lord Winston attend?” Her mother asked.

“He did indeed attend, but that is no cause for the ball to be anything other than amiable.” Georgetta placed a piece of toast on her plate. It amused her to see her mother’s reaction, her actions further evidence of her parents’ expectations.

“Then it surely would have been a poor ball if not for his attendance.”

“You are mistaken mother. It would have been a highly enjoyable ball if he had not attended. Since he did attend it merely became amiable.” Georgetta gave off a nonchalant air in hopes her mother and father be fooled by her words.

“Then you have no inclination as to what is so urgent, he requests council with me this morning?” Her father voice held a quizzical note.

Georgetta’s stomach turned over. Drake was coming to visit her father that morning. Why? Quickly she chastised herself for her over emotional state and calmed her frayed nerves.

“I’m afraid I am at a loss as to why Lord Winston wishes to see you.”

“That is a shame, for your mother and I would have most fervently encouraged a union between yourself and Lord Winston.” She could not refrain from observing the crest fallen expressions on her father’s and mother’s faces.

She laid her napkin on the table and began to rise. “If you would both excuse me I must make ready for town.”

“Town! You cannot go to town. Lord Winston may require to speak with you.” Her mother’s voice rose an octave.

“I can be most assured that Lord Winston does not or will not wish to speak to me. Calm yourself mother.”

“Well, really.” Her mother muttered but not without Georgetta hearing her.

“You must recognise that your mother only has your happiness at heart.”

“I do father, I most assuredly do. Hence, it would not be right and proper to elevate mother’s hope of an alliance betwixt myself and Lord Winston, when none is forthcoming.”

“I understand my dear. Now, what is so important in town that you leave with such haste?”

Georgetta wanted to groan aloud. She had hoped to delay imparting her news to her father and mother for sometime, but now she feared that would not be the case. She took a large breathe to steady her nerves.

“I have decided to partake of Cousin Elizabeth’s offer of accompanying herself and her husband to America for the rest of the year. The ship sails within 6 weeks and I will barely have time to do all that is required before we leave.” Her heart hammered in her chest, her mother visibly paled and her father sat agape momentarily.

“Out of the question, I forbid you to go.” Her father’s face now coloured red with anger.

“You cannot forbid me father, I am a woman of means in my own right. I have property and money. I am of an age where I do not have to abide by your rules.” Georgetta felt her own anger rising. Her grandmother had left her homes and money to Georgetta not her mother on her passing. Her parents were in fact staying in her town house in London, not their own, this season. Their own home was currently in a state of disrepair and required remodelling, after an accidental fire in the downstairs library.

“It is highly improper for a young lady of your station to go gallivanting around the world, on her own.” Her father snorted.

“I will not be on my own father. I will be with Cousin Elizabeth and her husband.” Georgetta seated herself again in frustration. “Let us be frank, for you cannot accuse me of ever being less than clear. What hope do I have of securing a husband? I am five and twenty years. The pickings for woman of my age are slim at best, but I am no beauty and do not have the attributes required to secure a man of station, even if that station is below me.”

“Nonsense girl, I have proffered to find you a husband of worth and yet you rebuff me.” Georgetta winced as her father’s tone became highly elevated.

“I do not wish to be married to a man in that fashion. I would be pitied and laughed at. I would n’er know whether my husband be faithful to me or whether he had a mistress or an endless line of them. No Father. If I get married, I want it to be for mutual affection not because some man wishes to gain status from the union.”

“Poppycock! Such drivel! Very few get married for love.”

“Would you rather me be locked up in some mausoleum, year in year out, whilst my husband does whatever the devil he cares to do? I had hoped you thought more highly of me.” Anger suffused her body. Her father had shown his true colours this day, had he not? It would seem any man be better than no man, without little regard for herself.

“You do me a disservice, Georgetta.”

“I think not, Sir. I would rather be a spinster, than subservient to a man I do not love and does not love me in return.” Her shoulders squared, in preparation for further onslaught from her father.

“Your mother and I only want to see you happy and with husband. I’ll be damned if I am going to allow that snivelling idiot of a cousin to inherit the estate and my title, as you are not married and do not have a male heir.” Her father slumped a little in his chair and immediately Georgetta began to feel a little guilty at her obstinacy.

“Father, I do not wish to cause you and mama ill, therefore I feel we should not continue this subject, for I am as obstinate as you, Sir. Now, if you will excuse me, I have a great many errands, before I leave for the country.”

There could be no mistaking the errant sniffle from her mother.

“Pray how is Drake Winston to receive this news of your leaving for America. And then there the matter of your good name, there will be talk. It will ruin your poor mother. Scandal, I tell you, questions as to why you deemed it fit to run away, with not so much, as a by your leave to polite society.”

Her father attempts to have her stay were admirable, but surely if she were to stay then there would be naught left of her good name. For it would become virtually impossible to stem her feelings for Drake Winston. That she was certain, then where would her good name be then. In tatters, that’s where, along with her mother constitution.

For just the memory of his taut, muscular body pressed against her own, his hardened cock throbbing against the apex of her thighs, had her pussy weeping with a tortuous ache. She could barely keep from visiting Mr Winston and begging him to aid her in relief of this torment, but she could not, would not succumb to such wrenched behaviour.

“Let them talk Father, for if you are so certain of Lord Winston’s character, then his word as a gentleman should be adequate in quelling further rumour.”

“I happen he may not be so accommodating after being so slighted. There was an understanding between you, was there not?” Her father’s dander had well and truly risen, but she would not allow it to deter her.

“No Father, there was no understanding. If for any reason you have been informed of this, then I fear you have been gravely misinformed. I feel quite certain Lord Winston would wish me well on my impending adventure, if for no other reason then to quell foolish talk such as this. Now, Sir, I really must be about my business.”

Free Story - Drake's Downfall

Hey All - I've not posted in a while and decided to post a little free story for you all. The first chapter is below I hope you all enjoy it and let me have any feedback you have. All being well I will post a new chapter every week.

Shara

Chapter One

He pressed the full length of his body against her. The hard length of his erection nestled against her stomach. Georgetta looked into his eyes, and gasped at the raw need reflected back at her. This could not be happening. The man of her dreams wanted her. She bit her lower lip and agonised over her next decision.

He’d courted her, done everything right, but now did not want to wait for them to be married. His expression, of need and want, urgently rang loudly in her ears. She couldn’t shake the gossip about the tun of his roguish behaviour. She knew her plain features and average body didn’t attract the kind of man who would make the most modest of women swoon.

Georgetta had been unwilling to acknowledge the salacious rumours about Drake only courting her to secure her fortune. Now it would seem these rumours were true. He would compromise her and use blackmail of her lost virtue to restore his coffers.

Her prospects of a husband maybe bleak, for she had lost count of the number of seasons she’d attended, but she would not allow him or any man to use that against her. She would rather be a dried up old spinster than succumb to the whim of this man.

It had not escaped her notice that his eyes always sort out the red haired beauty from the North. His harsh angles softened, he almost appeared wistful upon looking at her. Inwardly, she sighed. Did any of it matter? Just for one night Georgetta ached to feel loved and cherished. She needed to feel, to know the hard plains of a man’s body pressed against hers, hot and sweaty in the throes of passion.

She shook her head. No, none of it was worth it. If she didn’t give him the fortune she was so convinced he wanted, the embarrassment and humiliation bestowed on her parents would kill her mother. She, herself, would be permanently exiled to the country and if lucky would be married to a local land owner who mayhap had not heard of her ruination. No, as the Earl of Wellsley’s daughter, her station demanded more.

A shiver ran down her spine, and it had nothing to do with the chill of the night but the light brush of his finger tips caressing her cheek. Laughter infiltrated her thoughts. Another couple had wandered out on to the patio previously unnoticed. Drake attempted to push her further into the shadows, but Georgetta was not going to allow him to hide her in the darkness of the night like some guilty little secret.

“No, I will not be forced into something I am not ready to commit to. Let me pass Lord Winston.” She forcibly whispered and placed a gloved hand on his chest to halt any further movement.

He held her hand in place with both his. “Can you not feel the way my heart beats for you? The need to have you is driving me to distraction.”

A blush tinged her cheeks. She so wanted to believe the sugar coated words he fed her, but age and experience had taught her to be more cautious. Too many gullible women had fallen for the likes of men of Drake Winston’s calibre. She pulled her hand away and skirted around him.

“It would be nice to have the luxury for one night to believe the words you choose to bestow upon me, but I do not fool myself, Sir. I know I am not a desirable woman. Nor am I marriage material for a man such as you. I beg that you would kindly leave me be.” Georgetta’s heart beat harshly in her throat, swallowing became difficult. She turned to walk away from him. Tears stung her eyes. The despair at being used, assailed her.

A hand gripped her arm and spun her around. Disorientated, she teetered briefly before she fell against the hard wall of his chest. Before she had chance to disengage her herself, his arms clamped her to him and held her rigid.

“What devilry is this you accuse me of, Good Lady?”

Georgetta refused to meet his gaze, the agitation in his voice far too evident for her comfort. She pulled back in a vain attempt to free herself from his grasp, but he held fast and any further endeavour would only bring on the attention of others.

“It is no devilry, Sir, only the truth I speak,” she spoke through gritted teeth.

He took her further into the shadows, amusement etched in his voice, “Feisty. I always knew there to be untouched passion amongst the prim and proper façade you like to portray. ‘Tis that passion I long to experience, to immerse myself in. To revel in the soft downiness of your very womanly curves, to find all the untapped treasures you choose to hide. You are truly a woman of worth, one who deserves to be cherished.”

His hand made circular movements against the small of her back. The brief touch sending a burning heat to her very core, Georgetta’s breath hitched.

“Desist in your flowery words, for they do not move me. I am not a woman to be easily led. I do not lay with a man because he flatters. I will not be toyed with.”

“Ah, is it you think I toy with your affections? That I seek to besmirch your name?”

His manly scent surrounded her. Her head swam at the very dominance his presence held over her. Strong arms still encased her body, gentle caresses sought to soothe away her fears. The air thinned and she tried to clear her mind from the devastation of his nearness.

“Answer me woman!” His abruptness sent her reeling. Never had he used this intonation before. His impatience bordered on anger and brought to mind the very reality of his dangerous reputation. She held rigid, denying the way his body’s proximity engulfed her senses.

“Do not speak to me in such a manner, Sir, for I am not a servant to be ordered at whim. Now unhand me and lets’ not partake in these childish games any further. We are both too long of tooth to suffer such pretences.” Iciness infused her words. She hoped it would be enough for him to release her and desist in his endeavours. He grasped her chin in his hand and lifted her face to meet his.

“You think me some child. Someone who would partake in wasting time on a venture and fail, then little do you know me woman.” Pure savagery evident at her accusation, “For I have never embarked on anything deemed futile. I would advise you hold your tongue before I am forced to show you how ‘childish’ I can be.”

“Then you admit that you are a part of some folly with my emotions.” His hand still held her face and he lower his head to a mere breath away from hers.

“I admit to no such shenanigans and you would do well to cease your babbling, woman. For it is only the fact that I hold you in high esteem, that I do not take you over my knee and paddle your lush behind, for your accursed claim.” Her gasp at his words broke through the otherwise stillness of the night.

“You would not dare do such a thing.”

“I most certainly would. Never before have I let a woman speak to me in such a manner. How is it I allow you too, hmm?” His lips whispered against her ear, and trailed down her neck sending shockwaves of delicious heat through her veins.

Georgetta’s mind clouded, she couldn’t think straight. Her body wracked in feeling and urges she’d never before dreamt of. Desperately, she tried to bring herself back to the matter at hand. What had she been about to say to him?

“Hmm, Georgetta why do you think I allow you to treat me this way?” His breath across her skin sent fissions of electricity down her spine. Goosebumps broke out on her heated flesh. Think, Georgetta, think. You cannot allow this man to distract you. She bit back a moan of sheer pleasure as he delicately nipped her skin.

“You wish something from me I am not prepared to give.” She bit her bottom lip, startled at how husky her voice sounded.

* * * * *

Drake inhaled, wallowing in this enigmatic woman in his arms. The heady scent of Jasmine assailed him and his cock twitched. He shifted his stance in an attempt to alleviate the way his breeches rubbed. How could it be? Why did this plain, average woman affect him so?

“Ah, Georgetta, you will give me all I desire and sooner than you mayhap think.”

The taste and smell of her were driving him insane with want. He desired nothing more than to lift her gown and plunge into her warm silky depths. Raw need and lust for her burned through to his very soul. He convinced himself that she’d bewitched him.

“I will give thee nothing.” She pushed against his chest and freed herself from his hold. He shivered at the loss of her body against his.

“What foolish talk is this? You know my intentions towards you. I have been nothing but honest. Have I not courted you in all matters correct for this last month?” Bemusement and anger were barely restrained.

“You have courted me proper, when it suited you to do so. But I know truly where your heart lies and it is not with me. So I beg of you again, leave me be, I will not be a pawn in your games.”

Drake ran a hand through his hair. She drove him near insane with this incoherent drivel. He grabbed her wrist before she had a chance to escape him.

“What do you mean ‘when it suited me’? You know where my heart lies.” If he didn’t hunger for her, the way a parched man craves but one drop of water then he would not persist in pursuit.

“You insult me Sir, with your assumed naivety of my intelligence. I may be dried up, with little chance of a husband of worth. But I would much rather be in my current situation then taken by a man such as your self for nothing more than my fortune. Now will you not release me and neither one of us will speak of this again.”

She tugged at his hand, with a look of hope etched on her face, that he would release her. He could not and would not free her from him. To do so would mean he would abandon the last vestige of his heart. His childhood and debauched past had closed him off from feeling anything but inconsequential emotions. His father’s ailing health and the knowledge he would soon be Earl, had led Drake on a quest of a wife.

One who would perform adequately within her assigned duties and would not impede his lifestyle. Being his last attempt at proving he had become a son of worth, he never thought he would find a woman who would entrap him. Her words of lost fortune and self-deprecation echoed around his head. Nothing of what she said made any sense to him.

“I will not release you, not until you explain your words.”

“Very well, if you insist, but I had hoped to save some of what is left of my pride.” He watched her shoulders slump and her very life and soul seemed to vanished on an exhaled breathe. “I have it from a reliable source that you do not seek to court me for myself. Not that I would blame you in any way, I know I am not anything to look at and a woman men of your status deemed dowdy. You seek to discredit me and then stoop to blackmail to replenish your lost coffers. For I, above most, cannot afford to lose what little face I have in society as it is.”

Drake reared back and dropped her arm. He could not have been more stunned if someone had taken him on the blind side with an uppercut. Coffers? He had not lost his fortune, quite the contrary his coffers were expanding greatly, due to secret business dealings.

“I see that my babbling, as you call it, was not off the mark. I would thank you greatly if you did not seek to keep my company any longer Sir. Tis bad enough I have already been made a fool of, without further damning myself to ridicule.”

Paralysed. Drake couldn’t move, couldn’t speak. A probe darted through his mind in search of a logical response to her statement. Georgetta moved away from him, back to the light of the patio doors and the ballroom beyond. He reached for her, but too late. With as much gusto as he could muster he beseeched his voice to work.

“Georgetta! It is…”

She stopped walking and looked back at him over her shoulder. He held his breath and waited. He could see dampness on her cheek. Crying, this strong woman cried and he had caused it. Pain racked his chest, the pit of his stomach hollowed. Nothing matter any longer.

“Please my Lord, do not tarry with me any longer, it can be of no further benefit to you. The night is still young and your red-haired beauty still awaits you.”

Rooted to the spot Drake couldn’t move or speak. Red-haired beauty, what in god’s name did she mean? And who could be spreading such vile rumours about him and a so called lost fortune?

Anger overflowed, releasing him from his trance. He marched toward the ballroom with no other thoughts then to find the culprit and convince Georgetta of his innocent. He’d be damned if he were to let some blaggard let the only woman he truly had feelings for, evade him.

I Need Some Feedback Please

Hey Guys - I know it has been a while since I last posted but I've been really busy. Anyway I've started a new story and would like you all to let me know what you think - I mean really think.

Please be prepared that it is hot of the press and is unedited / proofed. This will be the only chapter I'm posting on my blog but may post excerpts later on down the line. The title is Plain Jane Revealed and here is the blurb followed by chapter one.

Blurb

Prim and proper Jane McGuire had two visible vices, stiletto heels and mascara, this was nothing compared to what she kept hidden underneath her clothes and in her spare room. Brought up strictly everything about her secret embarrassed her and she saw no visible way of ever getting in touch with her deepest, darkest desires. That is until Jane receives an invitation to an exculsive Fetish Club. A place she had never intended on visiting, that is until she finds out it's a masked ball.

Fabian Viali is the new CEO of Worth's, when he meets his new PA he can't help but wonder what this prim, proper plus sized woman is hiding. Her clothes clearly tell any man that she is off limits but the shoes tell Fabian otherwise. Intrigued he sets out to find out more about this woman with the plain face but curves he would like to sink in to. And what better way to test his secretive PA than the up and coming ball at his club.

Chapter One

Jane looked at herself in the cloak room mirror. Why the hell hadn’t she remembered to bring an umbrella with her? Her long dark hair clung limply to her head and shoulders. Water dripped all over her neatly buttoned up white blouse, threatening to expose the secret she hid beneath her prim and proper clothes. A secret she was too embarrassed to reveal to anyone.

Pulling a hand full of paper towels from the dispenser, she tried to remove as much of the excess water as possible. Sighing, she gave up. Mascara had run down her face, giving her panda eyes, and the tube had said water resistant.

Why did this have to happen today of all days? The new owner of the company officially took over this morning, and she had been given the daunting task of being his new PA. When she’d applied for the job, she’d assumed Mr Worthington would still be the owner. All that changed when he’d had a heart attack and sold the company.

Having no family to pass the firm to, he reluctantly placed it on the open market to the highest bidder. At this point it was too late for Jane to change her mind, the contract was signed and her old position had already been filled.

Rumours circulating the office were of a very good looking Italian that worked and played hard. He has a no nonsense approach to business. He liked things formal around the office, and stood for no one not pulling his or her weight.

Fabian Viali featured in all the gossip magazines, a different Barbie doll on his arm every time. The tittle tattle circulating the office couldn’t have been more correct about this man. He worked like a demon and expected everyone to have the same commitment.

It confused her that he would be interested in a little shipping company like Worth’s. All his concentrated businesses were either in hotels or some other form of the leisure industry. It was even rumoured he owned a number of very exclusive underground fetish clubs, but of course, it was never confirmed.

Just thinking of what sort of things happened in a place like that brought a deep flush to Jane’s face. Smoothing down her clothes, checking not too much was visible to the naked eye she began to remove the smudges of black from her face, as the door opened.

“What the hell happened to you?” Callie’s critical eye roved over Jane’s appearance. “You look bad enough normally but just…well look at yourself. This is no way to greet the new boss.”

Jane clenched her teeth together. Callie had never been someone she got along with, but ever since she’d beaten her to the job of PA to Mr Worthington, Callie had been making her life hell. In fact, there really wasn’t anyone at work who Jane would consider a friend, in or out of the office.

As far as she was concerned they were far to self absorbed and only interested in a couple of things. The main one was of course themselves. The second, which poor sucker could be convinced to take them out of this ‘hell hole’ and give them the life in which they believed they were destined to have. Money and status, it didn’t matter whether they were in love with the man or not.

Jane had over heard too many conversations where their next ‘victims’ were plotted down to the last minute of capture. Much to Callie’s chagrin she had been unable to tighten the snare to the point where the man could escape permanent entrapment. When she had heard Callie was even willing to say she was pregnant to get the man she wanted, Jane’s stomach turned at the devious unhand techniques that these women employed. This was one vipers pit and nothing could make Jane a part of that.

She was sure that Callie had only gone for the PA’s job to try and peddle her wares on Mr Worthington. It seemed age didn’t matter it was all the other trappings that concerned her and her cronies.

Jane sucked in a large gulp of air to steady the anger slowly rising throughout her body at Callie’s obvious attempt to rile her. Looking at her watch she spoke in a low tone, “I might ask you what you are doing in at a quarter to eight and on this side of the building. Your desk is way over the other side and you never get in before nine.”

Callie shot her a disgruntled look, “Well, I wanted to make sure Fabian…I mean Mr Viali was okay and that he had everything he needed before you arrived.”

Good grief the poor man hadn’t even arrived and the evil witch was plotting her moves. “Well considering I’m in everyday around seven thirty, anything he wants before that time will just have to wait till I arrive.” Jane pursed her lips, “and you will get your chance to sell…I mean introduce yourself at the meeting arranged for ten thirty in the conference room.” She tried to walk around Callie to the door but she refused to move. “Now are you going to get out of my way or do I have to move you?”

Callie visibly bristled at her words, “Who the hell do you think you are talking to? How dare you threaten me? You will never be better than me, just take a good long look at yourself, what man would want that? Just remember that. You will never be better than me.”

With that she turned and left the room. Catching hold of the door before it closed Jane followed her out. She knew what Callie was up to. She fully intended to make a ‘good impression’ with Mr Viali. Show Jane up as inferior, she would flutter those eyelashes and bend over in just the right way, to show maximum cleavage, all in the attempt to take away from her inadequate skills in the office.

As far as Jane was concerned looks and dress didn’t matter at work it was ability that counted. Her clothes were appropriate attire for a working office. Okay, so her 3” stilettos didn’t go with the rest of her outfit of a high buttoned blouse and straight knee length skirt, but it was business like and showed she was serious and there to work. She allowed herself this one other concession, after all no one could see what was underneath that serious façade, no one would ever know her embarrassing secret.

Jane’s thoughts were interrupted by a very deep accented voice sliding down the length of her spine, sending fissions of electricity through her nerve endings. Involuntarily she gasped at the sensation his voice had on her body. Redness flushed her cheeks as she looked for the man behind that sensual voice but Callie was in her way.

“Ah, you must be Miss McGuire? Nice to meet you…finally.”

“No, I’m not Jane.” Callie said in a voice that was far too cheerful, “I’m Callie, Mr Douglas’ secretary.” She stepped to one side and pointed, “She is Jane.”

Jane cringed at the look of shock on Fabian Viali’s face, she was concerned that if his eyes widened any more they would pop out of his head. She knew she was no beauty but she didn’t think she was that bad to look at. Before she could say anything Callie continued.

Sidling up to Fabian, Callie put on her best sultry voice, Jane was amazed at how low and seductive it sounded, “But of course if you ever…and I mean ever…need my assistance in anything at all, then you only need to ask.”

Jane stood transfixed as Fabian’s eyes never left Callie, the epitome of the woman she had seen him splashed all over the papers with. She stiffened as she waited to hear his response.

“Well Callie, might I suggest that you make your way to your own desk and if I need anything, I’m sure Miss McGuire will be more than capable of attending to my needs. After all she is my PA.” With that Fabian started to walk away from a momentarily stunned Callie, then stopped and turned back to look at her, “Oh and if Mr Douglas doesn’t keep you busy enough, I will need to have a word with him as to why he has so much time on his hands.”

Dropping her head, Jane couldn’t hide the smirk that crossed her mouth. It was about time Callie got pulled up short and it seemed that Fabian was just the man to do it. She couldn’t believe it ears when Callie didn’t let the matter drop.

“Erm, Mr Viali I don’t think you understood me when I said anything, I meant anything as in…”

“Miss, well whatever you name is, I didn’t misunderstand you at all. In fact I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. But as you chose not to let the matter drop, let me give you one more reason to hear me this time. If I ever hear or see you try and do something similar again, you will be out of here so fast you won’t know what has hit you. Consider this your final warning.”

Jane head shot up and her mouth dropped open at his words. Her eyes locked with a very startled and red faced Callie, who was spluttering as she turned on her heel and headed for the door.

“Now Miss McGuire, if you and your friend are quite finished, we have work to do.”

Flustered Jane turned to face him. “Erm…I mean…Well I am not or have I ever been friends with Callie, sir. And I don’t appreciate being automatically associated with that kind of behaviour either.” She folded her arms across her chest in a move of defiance. Judging by the way the muscle in his jaw flexed, she wondered if her bold statement had been a wrong move. Whether she would be the next one for a warning or even the chop?

She watched him stare at her and waited for the axe to fall. Even though she feared repercussions she couldn’t help but be drawn to the vision stood in front of her. From the way his dark brown hair just slightly curled around the nape of his neck, to the strong chiselled jaw, high cheek bones and deep chocolate brown eyes.

His broad muscled shoulders strained against the fabric of his designer shirt, hiding nothing from her eyes. She wondered if his chest was smooth or whether his tanned skin had a fine dusting of hair. Jane clenched her thighs together to try and stop the throbbing in her clit, at the thought of running her fingers through the imagined hair on his well-sculpted chest.

“Well, thank you for putting me straight on this matter. Now if you quite finished staring, can we get on?”

If Fabian’s morning had started so badly before he’d gotten to the office, then this entire incident wouldn’t have seemed like such a debacle. He was used to having the women who worked for him, make advances, but never this soon. Normally they would take at least a couple of days. He almost felt sorry for the fact that poor Miss Jane McGuire had taken the brunt of it, as she stood there with her mouth agape at his comments.

Shaking his head, he turned and headed for what was to be his office. He really didn’t want to think about the mess that lay beyond those doors. Think about it he must though, if he were to transport this little shipping company into the head quarters for the new planned Speciality Cruise Company.

He soon realised that he was the only one heading to his office, and Jane wasn’t following him. Stopping he turned to face her, “Miss McGuire. Do I need to repeat myself?” He watched as she slowly shook her head. “Well then, let’s get to work. We will be dropping our first bombshell in the meeting at 10.30 and I want to make sure we are ready for the backlash.”

He observed his oh so prim and proper PA tentatively walk passed him, briefly pausing at her desk to pick up a pad and pen. He couldn’t make out what she took from the top drawer of her desk, but as she reached up and pulled her long dark brown hair back, her white blouse stretched taut across her breast and revealed very ample lush mounds.

Fabian felt his groin stir in reaction to the delectable breasts that she’d inadvertently put on display for him. As the buttons strained against her movements, he could’ve sworn he caught a glimpse of something that didn’t match the outward appearance she was portraying.

He sighed at his wayward mind and made a motion for Jane to precede him into the office. He needed a decent fuck. That’s what was wrong with him. Why else would this plain and plump woman make his dick started to jump to attention at the first sight of her breast.

He’d been on a couple of dates in the last week with a new model, Catherine. She looked everything a man could want on the outside, but she was lousy in bed. Her bones would jar his every movement, she’d even called him sleazy when he’d playful slapped her ass. He wasn’t sure who the act had hurt the most, her for him daring to do it or him, when his hand connected with the bone he found in place of her butt.

What was with women today? Why did they feel the need to starve themselves just to be accepted? Okay, he would admit that men like him were probably part of the problem, but Fabian had started to wonder whether his ancestor’s had something with their choice of women. They preferred them with a more meat on the bone.

As he watched Miss PP, short for Miss Prim and Proper as he’d decided to call her, he had to admit she definitely had a backside worth exploring. Plump and round ass, with the right amount of padding to cushion a man when pounding her pussy, or if he was really lucky, her tight puckered hole from behind. Such a pity about her looks though he would never be seen dating someone like her.

Following her, he paused as she adjusted her clothes and crossed her legs. He nearly fell over his own feet at the sight of her long shapely legs, decked out in sheer nylon and those shoes.

Oh, they were not something that Miss PP should be wearing. The slender tapered 3” heels, the soft red leather and the ankle strap securing it to her foot. This was definitely something that didn’t fit her persona. This was more akin to footwear he’d seen women wearing at his club, perhaps he hadn’t mistaken what he’d seen earlier after all.

Miss PP wasn’t all she was making herself to be and this peaked Fabian’s interest. He wondered what else would be revealed about her as they got to know each other.
